Hospitalizations

When hospitalization is required, our physicians will see you at the hospital. The physician that you see in the hospital may not be the one you see in the office. Our doctors rotate through the different hospitals that they cover. However, be assured that you will be well cared for even if a different partner is taking care of you during your admission.

The fees for services provided by either hospital or the hospital-based physicians (radiologist, emergency room physician, anesthesiologist and the pathologist) are billed separately from the services provided by the physicians of PACCSA. Also, if your insurance carrier requires pre-authorization for admission or office visit, please inform our administrative staff.

Emergencies

If you need urgent attention, please go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. The emergency room physician will evaluate your medical problem and consult with our physicians when necessary. If you are uncertain what to do, please call our office and a medical assistant can give you advice on how to proceed. If the office is closed, you will be directed to the voice mail.

Prescription Refills

Many medications require ongoing refills, however, it is possible to run out of our medication refills prior to your next appointment. Please call for a refill when you have at least 5 days of the medication remaining. We require a 72-hour notice for routine medication refills. Some medications require prior authorization and this process may take several days.

If you need a prescription refill, please call the office you are seen at or request a refill through IQ Health if you have already made an account. Routine refill requests will only be handled during normal business hours. If you have any questions about whether or not to continue a medication that has no more refills, please call the office and we will give you the proper advice.

Please note: Medications refills cannot be authorized for patients who have not been seen by a PACCSA physician within the last 12 months in the clinic. An office visit will be required before any refills can be given.
